Terms of Service

On this page

These terms of service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the Skolina platform, published by Skolina SAS. By creating an account or using the service, you fully accept these Terms. If you do not agree to them, you must stop using Skolina.

Acceptance of terms

Using Skolina implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms. They apply to any teacher, trainer or institution (the “Teacher” or the “Institution”) who creates an account, as well as to students who join a quiz via a link or QR code (the “Student”).

If you use Skolina on behalf of an institution, you represent that you are authorized to bind it contractually.

Service description

Skolina is an online service that lets you create, run and grade interactive quizzes, generate questions and courses with the help of artificial intelligence, host live sessions and track student results.

We strive to provide relevant, high-quality AI-generated content, but we do not guarantee its accuracy or completeness. It is the Teacher's responsibility to review and validate any generated content before sharing it with students.

Account and eligibility

Creating a Teacher or Institution account is reserved for adults acting in an educational or professional context. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.

Students join a quiz without necessarily having to create a personal account. You must report any unauthorized access to your account without delay.

Use of the service

You agree to use Skolina fairly. The following are prohibited in particular:

  • any use that violates applicable laws and regulations;
  • any attempt at unauthorized access to systems, accounts or data belonging to others;
  • any action intended to disrupt, overload or degrade the operation of the service;
  • the distribution of unlawful, hateful, defamatory content or content infringing third-party rights;
  • using the service to process data for which you do not hold the necessary rights.

Tokens, subscriptions and billing

Some features, in particular AI generation, consume tokens — at a rate of one token per generated question. Free accounts receive a token allowance; paid subscriptions (monthly or annual) offer a larger allowance, replenished monthly.

Payments are processed securely by our provider Stripe. Prices are shown inclusive of applicable taxes where relevant. Unused tokens are non-refundable and have no monetary value.

Right of withdrawal and refunds

In accordance with French consumer law, you have a 14-day withdrawal period for contracts concluded remotely.

However, by requesting immediate performance of the service (for example by generating AI content or consuming tokens), you expressly waive your right of withdrawal for the portion of the digital service already performed.

Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the quizzes, courses and content you create or import on Skolina. You grant us only the rights necessary to host and provide the service.

Skolina retains exclusive ownership of the platform, its software, its interface and its brand. AI-generated content is provided for your use, subject to your responsibility to review and validate it.

Content and editorial responsibility

The Teacher is solely responsible for the content they create, import and share with their students. Skolina may, without being obliged to, remove or suspend access to manifestly unlawful content that is reported to it.

Availability and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability or freedom from error. We may temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance.

To the extent permitted by law, Skolina's liability is capped at the amount you paid over the last twelve months. Skolina cannot be held liable for indirect damages.

Termination

You may stop using Skolina and cancel your subscription at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, where appropriate without notice in the event of a serious breach.

Changes to the terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified to you by email or within the service. Continued use of Skolina after they take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the protective provisions applicable to consumers.
